Work with clinical trials

For various Imaging Core Labs and Contract Research Organisations Teleconsult is looking for radiologists, who are interested to act as an “Expert Reader” for specific clinical trials that are initiated by pharma or biotech companies as part of their development program. How flexible will my work be?

What is the standard length of the contract?

Once you have been selected and onboarded we will enter into an ongoing partnership, based on a cooperation agreement which can be renewed annually. Of course shorter periods are possible as well.

What are your levels of pay and benefits?

How many hours a week will I need to work?

We are flexible in our approach to how many hours you wish to dedicate to reporting work. This can range from 8 to 40 hours per week. We would be pleased to discuss with you exactly what amount of hours would be a good fit for you.

How do I receive and maintain the equipment I need to report?

You will receive a workstation configured by our expert IT team, which we will then work with you to remotely maintain. All workstations are paid for and will remain the responsibility of Teleconsult for the duration of our partnership.

What systems do you use?

You will be working with our in-house developed platform based on the Agfa Enterprise Imaging PACS which our interoperability team have fully integrated with our clients’ systems, ensuring full access to priors and relevant clinical information. We use Nuance Dragon for voice recognition.

What cases will I report?

You will be reporting an interesting mix of cases and modalities with a focus on your field of interest and expertise.

How do you ensure the quality of the reporting?

Our Quality Assurance Program includes a continuous auditing protocol for reviewing our reporting quality. If a discrepancy is found an addendum is made, and if clinically relevant, the hospital is informed immediately. Subsequently, learning points are fed back to the individual radiologist.

What support will I be offered as part of Teleconsult?

You will be supported by our excellent operational and IT service desk teams. With offices in different time zones, you will enjoy 24/7 support.

What is a reporting hub?

You can join the Teleconsult network as a group of radiologists, creating a physical or virtual reporting hub.

How can I be involved in starting a new reporting hub?

Teleconsult reporting hubs provide the opportunity for (existing) radiology groups to work together in a traditional or virtual environment with the benefits of working flexibly utilizing Teleconsult’s infrastructure and organizational support.
